Happy New Year

Happy New Year to you all. May this coming year bring you many blessings, prosperity and health. I have been so busy this past year and have neglected all my friends and acquaintances. I have been eliminating my ecrater stores as they were just not going anywhere. I am still eliminating as I have hundreds of items to move over to my new stores.

I now am back with eBay and am loving it more and more everyday. They really have changed to the good, good for the buyer and good for the seller. I also have re-opened my old Bonanza store, which is still a loser in my eyes at this time but it makes for a great storage place and keeps my items where I can find them, if I ever sell anything there it would be a plus for me.

My etsy store has slowed down some but it was my own fault as I was giving eBay all my attention. This new year I will devote equally to all my stores.
Come and visit me and if you see anything that would enhance my stores do critique me in a loving way. Here are my store's url:
I sell a lot of vintage clothing on both eBay & etsy as well as newer items for both men & women, also other items such as: toys, men clothing, kids clothing, home collectibles & more to come! On Bonanza right now its mostly magazines, some women clothing and more to come also. So enjoy you New Year and come and give me a shout!

Summer Is Almost Here!

Well its been a while since I last blogged, shame on me! I have been so busy thrifting, listing and more thrifting, whats a girl to do?
So far our weather here in the mountains of PA has been cool, damp with some sunny bright days and oh yes we did have a heat wave, 84 degrees. I love when its in the 70's here, not hot nor cold but just right! Great to go to garage sales, auctions, flea markets and more.

I opened an eBay store in April and I must say I am getting a little happy with eBay. I stopped selling there about 2 years ago or more as I didn't like where they were going. Now they are doing better and better, they still have their share of disgruntle folks who complain about everything, but somehow eBay is better than most venues and etsy takes 2nd place, well for me that is.

On etsy I can only sell vintage and a lot of my clothing is not vintage so where do I sell it? I tried ecrater, but alas its deader than a doornail over there. Sure every so often I get a sale but not enough to put my clothing, so I decided its time to go back to my first roots. Yes eBay is where I started in 2005.

I now have a new store, changed my old name to backstreetstyle. My store is located here in case you want to take a peep!

January Is Almost Gone!

My goodness where did the time fly? I have been missing in action I guess, busy with other things. Well I am back to have a chat!

The winter is flying by with a lot of cold, freezing cold and snow. Not what I like but I have no choice, as I am not in control of the weather. If I had my druthers I would have warm weather all year round. So what to wear on days like this. Why Boots, Heavy Coats or Jackets. Wearing tights with long dresses and high boots are a good thing. Of course wearing a hat, scarf and gloves goes long way too!

Soon I will be getting ready for my spring clothing to list and need to take those lovely pictures of them on my Mandy the mannequin who is always fighting me with her long arms and legs. I bought her a new wig as the red one was always falling off and she looked like she just got out of bed. Gosh she is too tall for me, 5'7" and I am only a tiny wee bit over 5'1".

I love my new store at etsy and its starting to grow with lovely clothing, shoes, handbags and jewelry. I finally have over a hundred items listed and I am well on my way for the next hundred. I have a few listings to show what I have and what has left for their new homes.

Thanksgiving Fashionistas

Well Thanksgiving is almost upon us and as I think of all that I am grateful for I also think what all you fashionistas will be wearing for this special day of being with friends and families  Since this is a day for thanksgiving let me first say thank You Lord for this day and all the wonderful blessings I have received throughout the year. Yes there are some bad memories as well as good ones, but I leave behind those things that hurt and go on to new things that brings joy.

Your word brings joy to my heart as well as my family and friends. I ask that you bless them and prosper them and give them health. I also ask that you guide them on to the right and narrow path that leads only to you, for wide is the path that leads to destruction.

Now I know that this is a day of thanksgiving, and also a day of joy and gratefulness, but it is also a day to wear what we love most. I have some lovely outfits that you can admire and buy if you so choose to!You can find most of these in my etsy store or artfire store.

Autumn Hues

Well it's getting close to that time of year when the leaves turn into beautiful shades of colors, reds, yellows, oranges mixed with green, how awesome is that?. This is also the time of year when we change over our summer wardrobes into fall clothing. I love the feel of corduroys, suede's, leather and other heavier types of material.

They are made so much better than summer clothes (well in my opinion) and happen to last longer also. I have some change of clothing that I recently listed and hope to have more before the fall season is over. I will also be adding winter clothing as well.

As you all know I am new to vintage clothing, made some good and bad moves but that is part of the learning curve. I love the styles of the 40's to the80's the most. Not liking too much of the now trends for today, especially as you mature you can't wear them or they are not covering much of the body. Now vintage fashions were way out also but more to my liking's and age group. So stop by and visit me, listings are added almost daily.
